Abstract
Digital filters play a very significant role in the development of modem technology. In present digital global world digital filters have replaced analog filters due to their superior performance, flexibility and reliability. In the present paper, an emission filter design and its implementation, on Texas Instrument´s based TMS320C50 digital signal processor (DSP) chip, for V.23 FSK modem, along with the performance analysis, is discussed. Emission filter is basically an FIR filter based on Parks McClelland algorithm. Filter has order of 63 with stopband gain 0.5dB from 400Hz to 3000Hz. This emission filter contains two bands, one having range from 0 to 200Hz and other from 3400Hz to 4800Hz with 30dB passband gain.
