  • Abstract
Key management is a core security component in wireless sensor networks. Several existing key management schemes neither offer strong resilience against node-capture attacks nor have overly large memory requirement to achieve high degree of connectivity. In this paper, we proposed a new key management scheme. We first divide the target region into a number of hexagons. This way, the key management is divided into Group and groups. Each node is pre-stored by a key chain function. Group nodes use common key chain function to produce a shared key. We aims at the establishment of secure communications between groups, thus to enhance the anti-capture capability and lower storage overhead of nodes.
