  • Abstract
A kind of transmission line temperature on-line monitoring system based on ZigBee is presented in this paper. The principles, standards and application advantage of ZigBee wireless communications technology are discussed. The design of hardware and software are discussed detailedly. The monitoring system works steadily, its size is small, cost is low, and the power consumption is very low. This system is a good solution to the problems of insufficient power supply in traditional transmission line temperature measurement. The temperature sensors are installed directly on transmission lines to reflect real-time temperature changes, so it can provide the basis for analysis of running and dynamic increasing-capacity of transmission lines.
