Abstract
In this paper, a novel flux-switching permanent magnet (FSPM) linear generator is proposed for wave energy extraction. The linear generator is analyzed by using 2D finite element method (FEM) to investigate the electromagnetic characteristics. The result shows that the proposed generator has advantage of the voltage waveform by reducing the cogging effect. The computational results are verified by experiments.
