  • Abstract
    Edge is the basic features of the image, including useful information used to identify images. Because the target edge, texture, background levels are likely to be the edge. It is difficult to find a universal algorithm for edge detection. This paper describes the existing edge detection techniques and methods. It proposed the improvement of first-order differential operator and its application in medical image. Synthesis operator improvement, edge enhancement, filtering the optimal design .It overcomes that second derivative is very sensitive to noise, Extraction was better than the other first-order differential operator. The effection is obvious.
