Abstract
Technology development of CAAD has changed the mode of architectural design. Through the overview of the various computer technologies of 3D modeling, BIM, IFC and CAAD network applied in architectural design, this paper discusses the additive relationship of these technologies and the conclusion is given that the 3D virtual model is the key of CAAD and the base of BIM, as IFC of BIM is the prerequisite of the CAAD network and the future development in CAAD will follow this correlate sequence.
