Abstract
Circular stack filters, which are subsets of stack filters, form sublattices of the stack filter lattice. The filters in these sublattices are spread more or less uniformly over the stack filter lattice and thus provide a wide variety of filtering operations without the penalty of the very large cardinality of the set of all stack filters. Circular stack filters are defined and some of their properties are explored
