Abstract
In this paper, the solution of the second kind integral equation for the surface current density is used for the mathematical modeling of the near field. The transformation of the integral equation is realized for metallic polyhedron bodies. Though, the kernel of the integral equation is not singular, the convergence of the computational solution can be improved by the analytic transformation of the equation kernel. The solution of the integral equation is found by the collocation method and the Galerkin method with the trigonometric basis. The comparison of the results obtained by these methods is presented. As it is shown, a better accuracy of the numerical integration using the collocation method is realized by the method of rectangles.
