Abstract
Digital subscriber line (DSL) technology is the major system used in Malaysia for accessing the broadband internet. The DSL technology uses the existing local telephone network for transmitting the high speed digital data. The unshielded nature of twisted telephone pair causes the DSL system to be vulnerable to electromagnetic interference caused by the man-made noise. This paper will present the application of APD on identifying the limit proposal for ADSL2+ system. The limit proposal will be employed in service provider to estimate the impact of electromagnetic noise towards ADSL2+ system performance.
