Abstract
Nowadays, superior data capacity can be achieved at a relatively low cost using Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology through the existing copper cable network. The performance of ADSL technology strongly depends on line attenuation factor which is attenuation due to copper cable and connections. This paper presents the analysis of transmission loss at every connection stretching from exchange to customer premises in copper cable network. Total transmission loss at every connection in copper cable network is found to be higher at frequency above 1 MHz.
