Abstract :
A design of a CDMA 450 cellular base station antenna with a polarization diversity feature is presented in this paper. The antenna structure consists of an array of dual-polarized λ/4 FR4 dipole antenna combined with a reflector to provide a high gain of 15 dB. This antenna has VSWR ≤ 1.5 and a directional radiation pattern characteristic with a specified beamwidth. The proposed dual-polarized antenna was designed according to stringent electrical and mechanical specifications. In this paper, both simulated and actual measurement results are presented.
