Abstract :
This paper describes the results of the development and validation of the 300/245 kV, 80 kA GIS based on conventional 300/245 kV, 63 kA GIS and conventional free standing GCB, and describes the design approach of intake puffer type ES. The performance of this GIS satisfied all type tests and all special specification tests. Simulation result of fault making agrees well with the experiment result. This simulation can be useful to the optimum design of ES.
