  • Abstract
    In this paper, the half solid model of the QT300 piston for the marine diesel engine was established by Pro/E software, and the finite element analysis model was also established by using ANSYS software. The thermal-mechanical coupling stress field and temperature field were obtained with finite element method. The calculating results indicated that the highest temperature was 389.692degC, occurring in the top of the piston, and that the highest coupling stress was 406 MPa, locating in inner boundary above the piston pin hole. The maximum displacement value was 0.583 mm appearing on the main thrust surface of the piston head.
