Abstract
A thin layer of palladium has been used to inhibit corrosion in thin film systems employing chromium as an adhesive layer. The low hydrogen over potential of palladium maintains the chromium at a sufficiently high potential to promote passivation and prevent corrosion. Potentiometric measurements and accelerated life-test results are presented.
