Abstract
The differences between Mellin transform and Fourier transform are compared from the aspect of spectrum. Some properties of Mellin transform and fractional Mellin transform are generalized. The period of fractional Mellin transform is also investigated. Comparing with Parseval theorem of Fourier transform, a similar theorem of Mellin transform is formulated. In addition, the scale invariance property of Mellin transform has been extended.
