Abstract
An increasing number of databases have become web accessible through HTML form-based search interfaces. The data units returned from the underlying database are usually encoded into the result pages dynamically for human browsing. Search engines can help users to filter their desired information based on key words. The searched result is normally presented in the form of a list, and users have to visit each Web page in order to determine the appropriateness of the result. A considerable amount of time therefore has to be spent on finding the required information. This paper proposes a knowledge discovery approach on the Web by providing an overview of the information on a Website using an integration of summarization and visualization techniques. Then, for each group we annotate it from different aspects and aggregate the different annotations to predict a final annotation label for it. Our experiments indicate that the proposed approach is highly effective.
