Abstract
Markov Analysis is a mean for description and prediction of random variable. Primarily, it is used to predict the development trend based on the present state, in order to find a resource. According to the actually defect of web service, in this paper, we present a prediction model for web service availability. Taking the node failure and the hot bottleneck into consideration, we present a web service availability prediction model based on Markov and queuing model. The experiment shows that the presented prediction model is efficient to achieve correct prediction, and it is an effective way to avoid service failure by predicting the availability before usage.
