Abstract :
This pager introduce the development process and result of wireless camera based on ARM11. The software is running on the development board S6410 made by HHtech. Some modules like Megapixels camera, Muti Format Codec and WIFI are in use. The Ubuntu installed in VMware is used as a cross-compile and debug platform. The final goal is to collect real-time images, to send them through wireless network and most importantly, to present the images on the client side. The development process is divided into six parts, including establishment of development platform, collection of real-time images, H264 frame encode, wireless network transmission, H264 frame decode and YUV image playback. The development has taken advantage of some Linux open source libraries like V4L2 (image collection) , mfc (encode) , libavcodec (decode) , libsdl (playback) .The wireless camera can collect and playback the real-time images at a rate between 20fps and 2Sfps. lt can be widely used in the area of video surveillance and IP video communication to save money and reduce the wiring.
