Abstract :
An approximate, analytical method is presented for the calculation of series resistance in concentrator solar cells with nonone-dimensional behavior. Based on a variational principle of nonequilibrium thermodynamics, its results have been compared with an exact analysis of some bidimensional structures under ohmic conditions. The results obtained compare satisfactorily with exact results in the cases where comparison is possible
