Abstract :
Intelligent AC contactor is a new-type controllable apparatus, composed by a microprocessors controlled intellectual control module and the traditional AC contactor, So it can be optimizing control in all process of closing, closed and breaking. One outstanding advantage of intelligent AC contactor is to realize the zero-current-break control. The contact systems will have no arc or small arc in the closing and breaking course, resulting in higher electrical endurance and operating frequency, and better performance indexes. This paper presents the control method, the operation principle, and the experiment results of two kinds of intelligent AC contactor. The operation dependability of contactor improves greatly, and realizes saving-material and saving-energy. In addition, the contactors have some other functions; such as communicate with the monitor etc
