Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach of fast stability simulation for on-line transient pre-decision making. The power system simulation process is to solve differential/algebraic equation (DAE). Based on the time domain simulation, this approach focus on the process of disposing fault information in the algebraic equation. A fault port synthesis admittance matrix is defined. It contains the transformed negative sequence and zero sequence information of fault element. So, the algebraic equation can be calculated only by modified positive sequence node admittance matrix. Based on this approach, an on-line transient stability pre-decision making system is achieved and put into practice in JiangSu Province Electric Power Company
