Abstract :
In this contribution, the role of the directivity properties of the antennas in inverse scattering of buried objects is considered. The discussion is carried out in a two dimensional half-space geometry and in the framework of the distorted Born approximation. The multiview/multistatic measurement configuration is considered in both single frequency and multifrequency cases. A particular attention is devoted to the problem of a proper choice of the frequency step of data which is found to be related to the extension of both the observation and the investigation domain.
