Abstract :
It is presented in this paper that the full scope real-time simulation model of a hydropower plant simulator for training and research should be developed whole plant, full process and whole zone of plant oriented. According to the structural characteristics of a large-scale hydropower plant, the full scope simulation model can be decomposed into several subsystems that can be calculated independently in every time step. Thus, the simulation time is reduced considerably. Examples are given to demonstrate the efficiency of this method
