Mobile Hosts Interaction over Integrated IP and Wireless Ad Hoc Networks

The major area of interest in networking is to connect the user of mobile devices to the Internet. These mobile devices are connected to the foreign networks in the Internet will expect or requires the same functionality when they are connected to the home network. The ad hoc networks provide connectivity between the mobile hosts and access points without backbone infrastructure. The network mobility is very much important to the users as well as applications, which needs to be transparent. This paper discusses the integrated solution and implementation between ad hoc network running Dynamic Source Routing (DSR) and a wired IP network. Mobile IP is used for Mobility management. The communication performance can be improved by using ad hoc network where mobile host will be able to use multiple foreign networks.
