Abstract
Adjusting the duty cycles of the nodes in the wireless sensor networks (WSN) is one of the conflict assignment, due to the energy, delay tradeoff. In this paper we studied the different types of energy aware solutions for WSN´s and proposed the Energy Aware Routing MAC Protocol (EARMP), which alters the duty cycles of the nodes in the network dynamically based on the parameters from the MAC and Routing layers. The simulation results of the proposed MAC provide better energy utilization and delay compared to the existing MAC presentations.
