Abstract
Summary form of only given: New design methodology using the numerically identified the synthetic flux linkages for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) with multi-layered PMs is proposed. Furthermore, the cross-magnetization between the d-q axis in IPMSM mainly due to the magnetic saturation is investigated via the adopted synthetic flux linkages. The proposed design methodology using the numerically identified synthetic flux linkages by Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is validated with the experimental ones for the purposely-built prototype.
