  • Abstract
A novel filter tuning algorithm is introduced. This algorithm only makes use of the designer model. Complex analysis required in other tuning algorithms is avoided. Tuning results on two biquadratic active filters and a passive filter show that this algorithm has a large tuning range and is capable of resolving nonlinearity in equations, correlation between tuning components, unmodeled higher order effects in the operational amplifiers and many other unknown factors. Apart from being a versatile tuning algorithm, it may be used as a precompensation tool for parasitic effects during the design phase
