Abstract
The authors describe an extremely simple, single op-amp proportional+integral compensator that has an inherent antiwindup function. During saturation, it not only stops and resumes the integrator but resets it according to the amount of overload, so under certain circumstances it has better overload handling. Originally, the circuit was developed as the output stage of a proportional-integral-derivative (PID)-type temperature controller
