An Integrated Study for Supply Chain Management Practices, Performance and Competitive Advantage with Special Reference to Air India Cargo

Today air cargo plays an important role in the international trade. The air cargo world wide has been a fast growing business over the long time. Today logistics is a key of competition advantage. Today the firm needs to align their logistics objectives to their business strategies keeping in mind all the stakeholders. The word supply chain today has revolutionized the world. The supply chain of air cargo it is very important to know what supply chain is and what is the need of effective logistics supply chain management supply chain is the network of organizations that are involved through upstream (supplier-end) and down stream (customer-end) linkages in the different processes and activities that do value addition in the form of products and services to the customer. Thus the present study makes an attempt at examining the concept of supply chain in cargo industry and the extent of readiness which the cargo industry have to face challenges.
