Abstract :
Large-scale systems modeled as interconnections of smaller subsystems are considered. Under the assumption that nonlinearities satisfy sector type conditions, nonlinear reduced-order observers are designed to estimate system states for control purposes. The observer gains are obtained using standard linear techniques at the subsystem level.<>
