  • Abstract
A new current-programmed control technique for controlling the average value of converter switch current is presented. Based on this technique, a control loop that controls the average value of the output current in a Cuk converter is synthesized in the case of fixed frequency operation. In this control, the measured control to the output transfer function of the open voltage regulating loop exhibits a better single-pole approximation behavior than the classical current mode controls. Finally, by introducing small modifications in the control circuit, a fixed-frequency realization is presented for a high-efficiency time-variable gyrator with real average-value behavior in its output and input variables
