Abstract :
With the rapid development of technologies on computer networks and computer communication, a tele-monitoring and control system is facing the significant technical innovation. The structure of the presented telecontrol system based on a wide area network (WAN) is given in the paper. The data abstract model and telecontrol communication service model of IED are proposed on basis of the newest international standard IEC 61850, and the idea of introducing real-time CORBA-TAO into telecontrol communication to solve the problem of distribution and heterogeneity of the telecontrol system is presented. Moreover, the realization methods of mapping IED telecontrol communication service to real-time event service of TAO are given in details in the paper. A simplified laboratory system using the above proposed communication methods is developed, and the testing results show the validity of IED data abstract model and the feasibility of telecontrol communication realization method based on TAO
