  • Abstract
    As the constrained conditions, the urban system of the host cities influence the Post-Games development of the Olympics´ venues significantly. Based on the interactive mechanism between the urban system and the Olympics´ venue projects, as well as the demand theory, this paper explores the main factors of the urban system are per capita GDP, population, ratio of the service industries of the urban system, which influence post-Games development of the Olympics´ venues. Meanwhile, with the relevant statistic materials of the recent Games host cities in the Games year, applies two methods of ward cluster analysis and k-means cluster analysis to verify the validity of the three factors which influence post-Games development of the Olympics´ venues. The Olympic Events hosted cities in China-Beijing, Hongkong, Qingdao and other cities are clustered with the recent Games host cities, and the differences are discussed. So conclusions are given that support of urban system of hosting the 2008 Olympic Games in China for the post-Games development of Olympicspsila venues is no strong, and the relevant strategies are introduced, such as attracting external consumption, improving the relative industries of the urban system, etc.
