Abstract :
This article presents the work done at IREQ with the distribution group as part of the development of a low-voltage grounding clamp for linemen. Low-voltage grounding clamps are devices used to protect distribution system linemen while they work on the overhead distribution system in the occurrence of a return of current originating from the low-voltage circuit following a network incident. The aim of the project is to design a low-voltage grounding clamp which can be easily installed with just one hand. The clamps should be capable of being adapted to several types of lugs and should meet all necessary standards. Most important, the ease of use of the new product must encourage lineman to use the clamp on each and every installation
