Abstract :
The oscillometric method is increasingly popular in electronic devices for noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) measurement. Some algorithms based on amplitude coefficients or waveform characteristics were proposed to determine the systolic and diastolic blood pressures. In this paper, a Matlab demo software is developed to demonstrate the hybrid oscillometric method. Experimental results show that this method attains satisfying performance compared with the standard Korotkoff sound method using mercurial sphygmomanometer.
