Abstract :
Productivity measurement in services and particularly in education has always been an issue of concern not only for the education researchers but also for the researchers in economics and services as well as manufacturing industries due to its high impacts associated with the labor productivity in all the sectors and the innovations that the education R&D foster and support. This paper is a hybrid of research literature review on educational productivity measurements in international context and contextual observations of the issues in Pakistani education sector. This paper is based on observations and experiences of different universities of Pakistan from time to time and may not be generalized to any international context other than Pakistan.
