  • Abstract
The authors analyze a periodically forced serial resonant circuit which includes a two-segment piecewise linear inductor. In some idealized case, the one-dimensional return map can be derived exactly. This mapping can give a theoretical explanation for an interesting route from a periodic response to chaos. In this route, the coexistence of attractors is confirmed. Also, this mapping can explain observable chaos generation
