Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present a case study of sustainable development in Curacao, which is a small developing Caribbean Island coping with globalization. The article will contribute to the development of a framework for the discussion sustainable development of Small Island Development States. In Curacao there are many conditions present for sustainable development. On the other hand, policies should be put in place to support sustainable development.
