Abstract :
FTTx network is worldwide used as one of the best solutions to access broadband network. However, the maintenance management technology cannot adapt to the increase in the construction scale. In this paper, therefore, a decision support system for FTTx access planning has been designed by using GIS technology according to incompatible features of current maintenance mode and the large-scale construction for FTTx network. The application of this system has not only effectively increased efficiency and quality of FTTx access planning and decreased management cost but also greatly increased relevant direction of FTTx network construction and resources utilization and reduced the funds for construction investment.
