Abstract :
In this paper, we study about the design of photonic crystals fabricated from DNA lattices using lithography. The band structure of the crystal was calculated by approximating the lattice as cylindrical rods of water cut into a material with the same dielectric constant as DNA with lattice constant. Band gap region to longer wavelength requires a larger lattice constant, a superstructure for this crystal is being investigated.
