Abstract :
A respiratory gating method based on spirometry was developed and tested during PET/CT and MRI studies. The method was compared to two commercial respiratory gating methods: the motion tracking system using infrared camera and respiratory monitoring belt. The spirometry method provided advantages compared to the infrared camera system and had superior signal quality compared to the respiratory belt system.
