Abstract :
In this paper, we analyzed the reason of communication performance changes depending on the distance in WAVE (Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments) communications. In the wireless communication, down-fade and up-fade points occur by the fading effects. Using the two-ray ground reflection model, we derived formulas to predict the location of these points in LOS (Line Of Sight) environments. In addition, we measured RSSI (Receiver Signal Strength Indicator) value, and this value is compared with theoretical analysis.
