Abstract
The modification of the existing algorithm for the time synchronization in OFDM systems is proposed in this paper. With the proper choice of the parameters, the modified algorithm has reduced computational complexity, compared to the original algorithm. It will be shown that the proposed algorithm has up to 50% reduced number of mathematical operations, for the number of OFDM sub-carriers equal to 256. Such a reduction is significant for both DSP and FPGA implementations and may increase the processing speed and resources occupation.
