Abstract :
Firstly, the design philosophy of HVDC control and protection system and the use of programmable digital controllers are discussed in this paper. Then the background for Win-TDC development is presented. For SIMATIC TDC based design, the consideration on lifecycle and distributed measurement are illustrated in detail. The characteristics of WinCC (HMI in Win-TDC system) and ibaScope (TFR in Win-TDC system) are also included in this paper. Finally as a conclusion, the improvements offered by Win-TDC are deduced in this paper
