Abstract :
This paper analyzes misoperations of protective relays of Gansu electrical power system in recent years caused by the relay devices´ problems and classifies these problems into algorithm, software, hardware, testing and service defects that go with the typical actual examples. The suggestions for enhancing protective relay correct operation rate are given and can be used as references by the departments concerned
