Abstract :
This article describes the design and evaluation of microwave stripline applicator for treatment of malignant tumors located under the surface of biological tissue. This tissue is in our simulations mimicked by homogeneous agar phantom with similar characteristics as the biological tissue. Further this paper presents results from measurement of impedance matching and simulations of SAR distribution on planar agar phantom by using two same applicators and SAR distribution in cylindrical agar phantom by using composition of four applicators of the same type.
