Abstract :
Basic Object Model (BOM) plays an important role in war simulations which require models to have great reusability, composability and interoperability. To promote military modeling and ease development, this paper presents a component-based modeling framework which is called BOM Modeling Framework (BMF) exploiting BOM. The associated rules, formalisms, software framework infrastructure and description documents are introduced in particular. The example shows that BMF can provide enough capabilities to meet the requirements of war simulations.
