Abstract :
Two approaches are discussed for multirate discretisation of analog controllers: the first one allows an easy extension of any conventional single-rate discretization method; and the second one is based on an optimal multirate digital redesign, considering both the closed-loop stability and performance. A design procedure is given for the second approach using H2 optimization with a causality constraint
