  • Abstract
    Component technology is one of the most important parts in software reuse research field. The way how we can obtain the components accurately and efficiently is also a difficulty problem which must be solved by reasonable classification and optimal retrieval algorithm. In this paper, we present a form of components classification which is based on the facets, and realize the component retrieval method with faceted shortest distance algorithm (FSDA), extend the limit of the key words, reduce the probability of re-retrieval and improve the flexibility of facet-based retrieval.
