Data usage from relays/IED´s for asset management solutions
Abstract :
This article discusses the microprocessor relays and IED equipment, used to provide data that become valuable information in a utility asset management system. All data does not have to be stored in the same data base, it can linked to the unique asset identity. The asset management systems aid in processing all the data available about a unique asset to provide information about initial cost, condition, perform risk analysis, operating and maintenance costs over desired time periods or for life-cycle to date. The key element is that all collected information must be shared and available to all interested people across enterprise.
